The following are some tools that I have found useful and thought I would share with everyone.
These Hebrew Fonts may be useful for viewing some of the material on this web site.
I am almost leery to recommend Logos because it can be extremely costly, and has about 99:1 useless to useful ratio. It is designed for use by pastors and religious Christians. That said it can be extremely useful for translating. So I am including here. In the videos I posted you can see the books I use in Logos, but I will include a list here as well. As of this publishing the Original Languages package, which is what I started with, is no longer available through the company. My recommendation is to get the base product and then just purchase the books you are interested in and would like. The books I use are as follows, with a 1 to 5 star rating based on how often I use it and how useful I find it:
Dictionary of Biblical Languages with Semantic Domains: Hebrew *****
Enhanced Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon *****
Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament ****
A Concise Hebrew and Aramaic Lexicon of the Old Testament ****
A Biblical Hebrew Reference Grammar *****
Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament *****
The Lexham Hebrew-English Interlinear Bible ****
A Systematic Glossary to the Andersen-Forbes
Analysis of the Hebrew Bible *****
Hebrew Syntax (Third Edition) *****
Gesenius’ Hebrew Grammar, 2nd English Edition *****
Hebrew Bible: Andersen-Forbes Analyzed Text *****
New American Standard Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Dictionaries ***
Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of
Old and New Testament Words ***
Building Your Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary ***
Exhaustive Dictionary of Bible Names ***
Glossary of Morpho – Syntactic Database Terminology *****
The Qumran Biblical Dead Sea Scrolls Database *****
Much like Logos I am reluctant to recommend this as it is again full of much useless religious drivel, but because it can be extremely useful I am including it.
